Signs you may benefit from therapy — even if life looks fine on paper

One of the most common things I hear in a first session is: "I'm not sure if my problems are big enough for therapy." They almost always are. Counselling isn't only for crisis points — it's also a steady, confidential space to think clearly about your life.

Quiet signals that often bring people to therapy

Feeling exhausted but unable to rest. Snapping at people you love and not knowing why. Replaying the same conversations in your head at night. A persistent low mood that doesn't quite tip into depression. Drinking a little more than you'd like. Not feeling fully present at work or at home.

None of these are dramatic. All of them are reasons enough.

You don't need a 'why'

Some people arrive with a very specific issue. Others arrive simply because something is off and they'd like to talk it through. Both are valid. The work is the same: paying honest, unhurried attention to what's happening in your life — and what you'd like to be different.
